Introducing the owners and founders, Candace and Eduardo Callegari.
Callegari Equestrian Center was founded by software engineers Candace and Eduardo Callegari. Candace, a Michigan native and Computer Science major, first met Eduardo in the computer lab at the University of Houston. Eduardo, who had traveled from his home in Lima, Peru to attend school in Houston, was quickly taken with Candace and soon they became virtually inseparable.
Candace has always had an innate passion for horses. Working as a youngster in a stable, she saw her first Arabian horse in the early 80s. Candace and Eduardo bought their first Arabian together in 1990 while they were still in college and on a college budget. What was initially Candace's interest quickly become Eduardo's passion. Soon after Eduardo surprised Candace with their second horse, and they began to develop the breeding program that became Callegari Arabians.
In 1999, Candace and Eduardo opened Callegari Equine Technologies. Since then, the company has matured into two business lines. Ag/Equine Construction Services provides design and construction of horse stables, riding arenas and other agricultural related buildings. Callegari Equestrian Center offers one of Houston’s most complete boarding, training and riding facilities. Nestled amongst towering trees on the banks of Big Cypress Creek, Callegari riders and boarders have easy access to 55+ miles of trails in the greenspaces along and in the creek. The 100-stall barns are constructed using the MDBarnmaster product. MDBarnmaster provides one of the highest quality, safest and most elegant equine products available. Callegari Equestrian Center is a beautiful and pleasurable place to unwind after work or hang out with your family and children.
